Travel with a budget
June 4, 2013Summer is a great time to escape to the beach in Egypt, or, if you’re lucky, plan a trip when the world isn’t freezing cold yet.
If you’re traveling on a budget or with a group of friends, try AirBnB.com, a great website that has thousands of places to stay worldwide, ranging from renting a couch in someone’s living room in Soho, London, and all the way to lavish beachside villas to rent with your friends. It is the houses version of Booking.com, really, but allows you a great way to avoid touristy hotels and get a true feeling of the city you’re visiting and the lifestyle of its locals.
It has a variety of options, locations, budgets and schemes to choose from and you can customize your search accordingly. It also has a great review system whereby the lodgings are rated based on cleanliness, location, value, accuracy, check in and communication with the landlord. You can also navigate the city guides they provide for cities like Paris, Rome, Venice, Los Angeles, Austin and Berlin and narrow the search based on your preference; from artsy and hip to touristy and loved by locals or a combination of several aspects.
