Recipe for Healthy Strawberry Ice Cream
April 30, 2013 2If you were tempted by our “We Love” and decided to go for an ice cream maker to make your own ice cream to guarantee fresh and healthy ingredients, then consider this our gift to you. This recipe is easy to follow, quick to make and tastes heavenly.
But what’s better, this recipe is absolutely healthy, no sugar, no additives and no artificial flavors that are added by handfuls to ready-made tubs. Add your own ingredients, throw in some nuts, just get creative with it.
Serves 5
Ingredients:
– 250 grams cleaned strawberries
– 130 milliters full-cream milk
– 1 cup full-cream plain yoghurt (120 grams)
– 3 full teaspoons honey
– 1 packet of vanilla extract
Instructions:
– Blend all ingredients together, mixing well.
– Pour into the ice cream maker
– Leave for 25 minutes or until the ice cream is in the right consistency
Editor’s note: If you don’t want to buy an ice cream maker, you can chill this mixture over an ice bath and then put it in a baking dish in the freezer and stir it vigorously every 20 minutes. It should be of right consistency in about three hours.

3 teaspoons honey
