Tucked in 32 Shagaret El Dor street, El Lido’s motive is “We Serve Nostaglia” and has even recruited cooks from El Guezira club’s famous Lido to ensure the taste is as nostalgic as it gets. It is a tiny place with a counter and some stools to fit about eight people, but you will find flocks of people chilling in and around the shop and munching on their hamburgers and hot dogs.

Their menu consists of simply burgers and hot dogs with sides of fries and soft drinks or old-school granites to complete the meal. The burgers have that good-old-days’ smokey flavor to it and is served in traditional buns with the choice of normal toppings or their original Tahina.Their mandarine Granita is also to die for.

Their prices are also rather nostalgic; LE10 for the burger, LE 8.5 for the hotdog and LE5 for fries.
